Telephone calls can be made from public callboxes or post offices. Most callboxes accept cards, which can be bought at (TNT) post offices, tobacco stores and at supermarkets like Albert Heijn (AH).

Roaming agreements exist with many international mobile phone companies. Coverage with the GSM netwerk is good.

There are many internet cafés and hotels are increasingly well equiped with dataports in the rooms and/or a terminal in the lobby.

Stamps are available from all post offices (logo: TNT Post in orange letters on a white background) as well as from tobacco shops and kiosks selling postcards. Mail within Europe takes approximately 5 days. A stamp for a postcard costs EUR 0,77 for Europa and EUR 0,95 for the rest of the world. Use the "overige bestemmingen" slot in the regular letter boxes to post it.
