Heineken is a 5% pale lager, made by Heineken International since 1873. It is made of purified water, malted barley, hops and yeast. In 1886 H. Elion finished the development of the Heineken A-yeast. This is still used for the beer.
The Heineken Experience is housed in the former Heineken brewery / headquarter from 1864 to 1988. Heineken developed the old brewery as a tourist attraction. The Heineken Experience takes you on a journey through the history of the company, introduces the different generations of the family and teaches you about the world's most famous beer.Your visit to the Heineken Experience takes approximately 90 minutes.

Heineken beer is brewed by 40 breweries in 39 countries around the world. Since 1975, most Heineken beer is brewed in the Heineken brewery in Zoeterwoude in the Netherlands.
