Summer Carnaval is a yearly event that mimics the carnaval of South Latin America. Initially it was an Antillean and Aruban occasion, but over the years it has grown into an event with which many cultures can identify.
The event attracts nearly a million visitors. More than 2,000 particpants join the street parade and dance at latin music.

The parade starts and ends at Boompjeskade. So the route is:
Boompjeskade -> Schiedamsedijk -> Witte de Withstraat -> Museumpark -> Nieuwe Binnenweg -> Westblaak -> Karel Doormanstraat -> Weena -> Coolsingel -> Schiedamsedijk -> Boompjeskade.
How to get there
Take the train to Rotterdam Central station and walk in a few minutes to Weena.
Opening hours and days
The parade starts at 13:00 at the Boompjeskade and ends at the Boompjeskade too around 17:30.
